Our beginning

The Obreros de la Misericordia Foundation was born of the passion Father Erlein Mora Ordóñez has for serving the most needy and marginalized in his community.

In March of 2016, he created the Obreros de la Misericordia Foundation (F.O.M.) in his home country of Colombia, where he received the support of local Laity as well as corporate sponsors in the United States. In August of the same year, a headquarters was established in Atlanta, Georgia, to provide additional support for this important work.

Our beginning

Fundación Obreros de la Misericordia grew out of Father Erlein Mora Ordóñez’s passion for service to the community. As a young seminarian Father Mora Ordóñez, actively sought to help those in need. As an ordained priest in the Catholic church, Father Mora Ordóñez, has helped many on their journey of faith and conversion. While continuing in his duties as a priest, Father Mora Ordóñez put his faith and dedication to helping the marginalized into work by founding the Fundación Obreros de la Misericordia in his home country of Colombia.

In 2016, Father Mora Ordóñez, with the help of both laity in Colombia and the United States, established a US base to bring additional assistance to those in need.

Our team
